Implementing new technology into our train stations could improve the user experience and make travel more desirable. The aim of the 1 Card is to achieve a system in which travelling via train is efficient, effortless and enjoyable. With the opportunity to gain points and receive discounts on future travel and confectionaries within the station through the 1 Card, the transition from kiosk to platform is much easier. Using RFID scanning when passing the gates to the platform enhances the user experience and ensures travel is as efficient as possible. Along with a mobile app, the user can be kept up to date with train timetables and unique member offers.
