This project has explored the question: How can an understanding of spatial theories acting upon conceptual retail design inform department stores of how to create a shopping experience between the online and offline environments?


Concepts around brand, spatial theories, and wayfinding have guided this project to create the strategy, Pioneer; a unique, forward-thinking retail experience that connects the two worlds, physical and online, for seamless browsing.


Three key tools within Pioneer include: Shadows, Screens and Rooms which create an ease of browsing and community surrounding the brand which will, in turn, produce brand loyalty furthermore, greater success for the business.

The solution is an A3 pitching document for department store managing directors which describes and explains Pioneer so that they can apply this strategy to their own business.
